HIV testing at home. A home HIV test is a self-test to determine if you have HIV, which you can do in the privacy of your home. Here is some information about HIV testing at home:

OraQuick In-Home HIV and Home Access HIV-1: These are two test kits approved and approved by the FDA (United States Food and Drug Administration) for use in HIV self-testing at home. You can use them to test with a saliva or blood sample1.

How to test for HIV at home:

Insert a special tool into your mouth to collect saliva.
Place the instrument in the reagent tube.
Results will be available after 20 to 40 minutes. One line is negative, and two lines are positive.
Biosure test (sample from fingertip blood):
Take blood from your fingertip and use a special paper stick to collect this blood.
Place the paper stick in the special tool.
Wait 15 minutes for results. Two lines are positive, one line is negative

HIV testing at home helps you get results immediately without having to make an appointment with a doctor or go to the hospital. However, compared to a blood test at a medical center, you will need a longer time after exposure to the HIV virus to get more accurate results.Oraquick test is about 99% accurate and specific.
